Training

I graduated from medical school at Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1991. Following my Junior House Officer (Intern) year at Craigavon Area Hospital I entered specialty training in anaesthetics within the Northern Ireland Regional Anaesthetic Training Program. I completed my anaesthetic training in August 1999 which included 18 months subspecialty training in Intensive Care Medicine within Northern Ireland. I then completed the final 6 months of my ICU training at the University of Toronto and University Health Network, Toronto, Canada.
